There are programs that can fake activity.
Because IP are not abundant and traffik costs them money
providers impose that rule. There is no other automatism then
their software diconecting You.

If You pay enough You are not disconected - that is live.

I have not used Dial up in suc a long time but I remeber that there was a setting that tells the pc to disconnect after the set time. You have to review all your dial up settings.

get the modem its better you can go over usage limit with it.that could be your problem check your usage limit in my account.
