According to the DSM, no. They're two different disorders. People can have symptoms that resemble both disorders and people can be diagnosed with both, but the two are separate. Herein lies the problem for proper diagnoses.

No it is not, you can be bi-polar yet not have ocd at all or you can have both. I think that those who are bi-polar can have many different co morbid disorders or none at all. It depends. I only know this because of some psychology classes I have taken.

No connection at all!! I am ocd but not bi-polar,take an anti-depressant for my ocd.My ocd is not noticeable but anyone that is bi-polar is most certainly hard to miss.
