For example, when I first met my friend, her dog didn't like me.It took a couple of days but now, I've known my friend for 2 years and every time her dog sees me she cries for me and is so excited to see me. As for my friends, friend... the dog known her also for the same amount of time and really does not like the girl. So I'm asking would your animal play a part in who you dated or are friends with? By the way, my friend is also unhappy and I notice(plus she tells me) that the dog can sense her unhappiness.

From an impartial, not gay, etc. human, yes pets have great understanding of your emotions. You also impart to them how you feel!

oh, definitely! I love cats, and had 3 before I met my partner. whoever I was going to date...and hopefully spend the rest of my life with, had to like cats! fortunately, my partner loves cats, and had 2 herself. her cats like me, and mine like her. our 2 females don't really like each other too much, but they tolerate each other...LOL!
