hi. i just joined an icon site for myspace... and i was wondering how exactally do i make icons? is there a site that can generate an icon for me? if so please tell me i really need help! please and thanks. =]

1. Use any image editing program you want to create, as previously noted, a 32 x 32 pixel image (or a 16 x 16 pixel image if you want a small icon, such as is used in Internet Explorer Favorites / Firefox Bookmarks). If you don't have Photoshop or similar, you can use Microsoft Paint: Start --> All Programs -- Accessories --> Paint for basic image manipulation and creation. Save your image as a JPG, Bitmap or whatever.
2. Download and install Irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com/
3. Open the image you created in step 1 in Irfanview.
4. Use File --> Save as and choose "ico" from the format pull-down list.
You now have an .ico icon.

Hi. If you want to make an icon (.ico) you will need to make a pic that is 32 by 32 pixels using paint, photoshop... save it as an .ico file and then use on whatever you need it for.

Thoughs 'Icons' are normally called Avatars, I don't know if you can create them but here is a site that gives you a list of them to download http://www.avatarity.com/.
