After you answer a question at the bottom of the page it will say "Now you are on a roll" and then give three or four questions you might want to answer.

Now normally those question will be in the very same category as the one in which you just posted an answer. However, I have noticed that in LCBT section often the promoted questions are out of the Religion section.

Why is this?

Am I being paranoid in thinking it is set up this way by Yahoo for the purpose of sending some type of message to folks.

Maybe it is also possible they are promoting it cuz they know that a number of the fundie types come here to correct the ways of gay folk.

What do you think?

To those who commented that I may be "paranoid" I admitted that in the question. I just found it odd--I have not noticed it in other sections--but I may be wrong about that too. But, I have noticed it frequently here. There may, indeed, be a totally innocent explanation. I don't know.

It is innocent, since for what ever reason, religion is in the same broad category as lgbt, you will see some of the questions from there. Religion probably gets three or four times the questions as lgbt so you are as likely to see those questions as any other.

It would be nice if they didn't mix the two together since we tend to attract whackos from religion who sometimes see our questions.

LOL! I had noticed that a while back and it had me wondering, too. At first I thought that it was just sort of a random thing and didn't pay too much attention to it. I saw your question a few days ago and thought - hmmmm. So every once in a while I would check on it. You are right - except today when I came on to agree with you - it has changed!

Maybe there was a glitch in the programming that made it do that and Yamster saw your question and fixed it. Or it could be an overflow thing. LGBT is in the same grouping as Spirituality and Religion and we know how zealous they are about salvation. Oh well, just my two cents. Good luck - it was interesting though.

OMG! (<-- Sorry about that) I finished answering your question and the Religious questions are back! LOL!

I came across this question after answering one in etiquette. In the 4 questions in 'your on a roll', 2 were LGBT (Including this) and one in Religion and Spirituality. I have no idea how that question system works, but I think you're being paranoid thinking its a set up. Maybe they promote other sections if there are no new question in the one you currently are.

I think that it's because both Religion and LGBT are put under "society and culture." I don't think it has anything to do with sending any sort of message.

It is rather odd...the last thing I want on the screen is a religious question.
