I get the chime to turn golden, I'm guessing this is the key, but I can't get the key to the lock to open the door..... I hold it down and try to drag it over, but nothing happens! I'm getting annoyed!! Argh! =)

you're playing the enabled version, go here

http://www.jkrowling.com/

and dont press "Enter Accessibility Enabled Version"

but go to the left side of the screen and press "Enter Site" with the british flag ontop of it, which is under "Text Only Version"
then you can follow the steps the girl above me told you. =D

1. Click on the open door in the mirror, you'll see a Christmas tree
2. Click near the top of the Door, on the upper half, there will be a wreath
3. Click near the top of the mirror to the right of the door(on the ceiling) for garlands
4. Click on a spiderweb to the left of the door to clear them away
5. Click on the windchimes (second chime from the right), and it will turn into a key
6. Click with the mouse and hold the button down as you drag the key to the lock. The door should open.
7. Click on the gift (I can't really describe which part of it to click on, just keep clicking)
8. Play the game of hangman to find out the title of the next book!

Hope you find the secret, happy hunting and happy holidays.
