There are people dying to come into any Western democracy. Most western European countries have the very same immigration issues as America. Ireland takes in proportionately more immigrants than any other country in the world.
America is not good by the standards of other western democracies. It lags behind in almost every category. (crime, education, rich-poor gap, health)

America is not perfect but we are as close as you are going to get to perfect. Every one wants to come here because you can be or do what every you want with no fear from anybody..... Penphones; If Ireland is so great Why do we have so many of your countrymen in the New Englad states. I my self am 1/5 Irish from county Cork.

I agree. I think the people that aren't citizens should leave. They want to turn our Country into something like the country they left but with all the economic advantaqes.
As for average citizens, we have a right and a duty to watch our Government and make sure it does not get out of hand. Afraid lately we have been lax.

What many people, and it seems like you, fail to understand is that you don't have to agree with American policies to be considered patriotic.America was founded on being able to express your ideas without fear of prosecution. So if you say people should love America or leave it, then you are probably less American than the people who you say aren't.

I was born here, my family-white family- has been here 400 years my Native family 10's of thousands. Where would you like me to go buttwipe? My family has fought in every war this country has had, died in every war, suffered at ever turn, we have the right to gripe and moan, so shut up and crawl back into your bush.

I wonder that every time someone gets on here and criticizes us lazy good for nothing racist white Americans..That's like me going to Canada and saying I hate these lazy irresponsible jerks..it's their country..they didn't ask me to come there..I can leave..same way with immigrants..don't like it..get the Hel- out.
