you arent going to be able to buy Cuban cigars in the United States...unless they are "pre-embargo" cigars, but who wants a cigar from the 70's. They aren't like wine or women...they don't get better with age. Some of the best Cigars made in the US are Cohiba cigars, the are made with American leafs and Puerto Rican paper. They taste really good, and wont break your budget either.

Many are going to say none cos its bad for his health...but hey if he's gettin on a bit and has few pleasures in life a few cigars wont hurt. Have a look round for a specialist and ask for their advice im sure they will come up with a cigar to suit.

That's a tough one.... Is he a smoker? Perhaps you can ask your parents if they can recall any particular brand or taste. Otherwise, I hope there's a smoke shop near so you can ask someone with some good knowledge about the topic. I like cigars, but am not an afficionado... For me, locally there's the below link.
