Their graphics person was probably rushed to get the graphic to air, and the misspelling occurred in that frame. I'm sure it was fixed by the time the West Coast Edition of Nightly News was completed.

News channels make mistakes all the time. Like when FOX News showed Mark Foley with a (D) after his name.
