Somebody told me that a real man WANTS to take care of his family, and let his wife's number one priority be raising his children and keeping his home in order. That it is not old fashioned, it is the way it should be. If you don't want that kind of woman, go find yourself a man hating FemiNazi to hookup with. Is this all true?

I grew up in a household where mom stayed home, raised 11 children and dad worked his butt off to support us. My husband makes good money and I enjoy working outside the home and have done so for since I finished school. Our children, are well adjusted and stable young men, who know how to do laundry, cook and clean, in addition to taking out the trash and other "guy" chores.

A family is whatever you want to make it in to, somtimes is like the movie "Yours Mine and Ours", sometimes it is two gay people raising children, sometimes it is a husband who works outside the home and the wife who works at home.

I don't think the majority thinks that kind of marriage is the way it really is now. It is old fashion and men and women share household duties and raise the children together, not just the wife doing everything. If this is what you want though and you find someone with the same beliefs then by all means do what you think best but it's not the norm. It most likely will send you right to the courthouse for a divorce after some time.

The roles of the husband and the wife should be as equal as they can make it. No explanation necessary. A woman's place is not the home, and a man's place is not out earning the bread — it's whatever they want it to be. I am a man-hating femi-nazi who would rather reject marriage and motherhood completely, instead of deal with any of this balance-of-power crap. MY place is in the office.
