This is likely because Yahoo, even though it is a worldwide company and accessible from anywhere, is still a U.S. product.

It is likely that your internet provider doesn't have their servers set up to direct you to your country's version of each website. Some countries do not have their own sections of a website, so they just default to the "primary" country; which in the case of Yahoo, is the USA.

Yeah I noticed that. My yahoo account says I'm from Trenton, New Jersey though, maybe that's because I set it up and didn't want my email address to bother having a .au at the end. It's good though, I'd prefer to be in the US pages than Australian ones, it would be a much bigger audience.

Well if you took 8th grade social studies in the US, you would see that the US on the map is bigger than continents. We are big in our own minds. Why should the internet be any different?
