When something happens and you don't like it what do you do? I usually just shut down and not care about it.

At first, I constantly whined and worried. But then I thought, "Worrying doesn't solve anything." I also always think, "It could've been worse!" Now every time I undergo problems, I just let it happen and continue on with life.

So yeah, I do the same thing you do :)

I guess it depends on what had happened. Sometimes I shut down and then I keep going over things in my head. Kinda obsessesing about it. Most of the time I don't deal with the problem until it has had a while to "brew" and then I usually explode. Not the best way to do it. I wish I could calmly discuss problems but that usually doesn't happen.

I shut down. Put it aside, and try to pretend it's not happening. Which of course has only made things worse. But now I have a boyfriend who is so great about dealing with all the problems, that I can keep handling them this way, and he'll sort them out for me.

I deal with the problem because as aggravating as it is to the people around me, I can't stand leaving things unresolved. A lot of people would rather just walk away and deal later but I'll just follow them until the problem is worked out.

all of the above...LOL If I get too frustrated it is better to shut down and walk away till I can figure out the best way to deal with the situation then deal with it...

If I already know the outcome and know I can't change it then I give up and walk away. But if I think I have a chance of overcoming the problem then I stay and deal with it.

I have a history of shutting down; lately I have only stalled temporarily just to make a plan of action. Dealing w/ things is more scary but the reward is soo much greater, it allows you to have greater control.

I walk away until I calm down and am ready to deal with the problem. Then I (try to) come at it from a more rational place.
