Yes, my sister-in-law has PCOS and has been on it for quite some time. Before yasmin she didn't have a period for over a year. Now she's regular as can be.

i personally have pcos. yasmin was the only birth control pill that i would cycle on. no it does not regulate all pcos patients like any birth control pill. all i can say is it worked for me. you can try it for 3 months, that's usually a pretty good test to tell if it's going to work for you. another one that has been shown to be good for pcos is ovcon. it is also low in estrogen. you should be on a low estrogen birth control since with irregular periods you may have uncontrolled estrogen in your system and too much can cause problems. but always check with your dr. good luck to you. it took my dr's 8 months of meds and a d&c to get me to even cycle. but afterwards yasmin has been the only birth control pill that has helped. it also has been shown to help with hair loss if you have that pcos symptom and facial hair.

I was on Yasmin and it's great for your hair and nails and my skin completely cleared up. I guess it will regulate your period like any other birth control pill but be carefull because it made me extremely moody and irritable. It might be fine for you but I've tried other pills and none of them made me feel as bad as Yasmin did. I couldn't stand myself and had to stop taking it even though I loved the benefits it had for my skin.

Instead of poisoning yourself with synthetic hormones, you could try a more natural approach.
Natural progesterone has been shown to relieve PCOS. The cysts are caused by estrogen dominance. If you balance out the estrogen with your body's own "anti-estrogen", progesterone, you should see your PCOS go away.
