I just moved from Berlin back to the states, ( im american) and I had a really close guy- friend (lets call him "bob") ( NOT a boy friend ) we talked all the time at break and at lunch, we played cool games together, and we hung out together, when he sold ice-cream and lollys for charity during lunch and break I usually had to adapt, sometimes i'd hang out where he was selling, sometimes I would play with some kids in my class, but because all of my friends were older than me, I usually was alone, (* he only did it during the summer school months). But know that ive moved, he's been acting real wierd to me, hes going out with a person I really hate, ( and whos my age!) and he is really pissing me off! As if moving to another country isn't bad enugh. Do I really deserve this?
* Im 11, hes 13.

When friends are apart, feelings and situations change. You had experiences Bob had nothing to do with, and the same happened to him. Life experiences change people. On the other side, he may think you have really changed since your stint in another country. Nothing happened to keep you close.

Your best bet is to be friendly when you see or talk to him, but it would be best if you started to find other friends for now. It looks like he moved on without you. It's not your fault your folks moved over there, but everything has changed now and you need to find other friends. Sorry about the loss of a good friend. That just sucks. Good luck.

It is really difficult to manage a long distance friendship. You will meet a lot of new friends. I am sure that Bob still likes you as a friend but there is a big time difference for you now and he is moving on in his life and you need to do the same. Try to concentrate on your new life here in the states and the new friends your meeting everyday.

an 11 year old goin out with a 13 year old? That's not right. I think you can tell him how you feel, if he's serious enough he will understand.
