Many Japanese people usually like to have good qaulity stuff such as clothes, purses, wallets, shoes and so forth, and they like to follow the trend and they love to buy designer brand stuff (I'm not saying that all Japanese people are like that, though).
But they are usually thought that they don't know how to dress. I don't know why. What's the difference between those clebrities who wear and carry designer brand stuff and who follow the fashion trend and the Japanese people who wear and carry designer brand stuff and who follow the fashion trend?
It seems that even though Japanese people wear the exactly same clothes as Americans wear, still many Americans have the image of Japanese people that the they don't know how to dress because they are Japanese. I don't know if that's true of not. But I just wonder if typical Americans who don't know Japanese people so much think like that.

I know that they have a different set of costume's from the American people and they take great pride in their dress and style of clothing. Their traditional dress is very formal to them but looks different from anything the Americans wear.

the problem is that the money in japan does not cost very much within there own country. plus what is important to most japanese is the education of there child. also japan may be advance and all but they are still very conservative. also what you are saying the japanese people wear the exact same clothes as american people is bullshit! their teenagers dress way better than you do (i don't live in japan) (but well i'm asian) just look at those seen at Yoyogi park. way cool!
i think that you are the only person who thought that japanese don't know how to dress because TOKYO which is in JAPAN is a fashion capital just like milan, paris and london! even tyra banks have comented on japan as being one of the places that she had made pictorials in.
it may be tokyo only but that is because japan has a very good deal of culturalism unlike your country.

no. their style depends on their mood. in america our style depends on what the celebraties r wearing and what brand name the popular kids r wearing. to tell u the truyth i think that americans can learn from the japenese. i also have japenese style by the way. but im american

Well to think about it, I guess they are simply creative and imaginative people as they can get ideas and "mix and match" according to their fashion needs.
