NO.
I am no fan of boxing, but you cannot outlaw something JUST for that reason. Who decides what does and doesn't encourage violence? Think of how much more censorship you would have. We have enough now. Do you really want the Government to have more laws to enforce rather than do a better job of enforcing the more important ones now?

No it's freedom of choice. Boxing is also a working class sport and a way out for many people in poverty, it is a good rescource. this isn't a violence issue it is a class issue.

NO WAY!
If that happened, then we would never have such great athletes like Muhammed Ali, Bruce Lee (combines Chinese Boxing with Western style fighting), Chuck Norris (Kickboxing), Jet Li, and many others.

Boxing is a sport. And to be totally honest with ya..if someone has differences with someone else....I'd rather see boxing than guns and chains and baseball bats and all like that

Boxing should be encouraged. When I was a kid and someone wanted to fight, thats how they did it. Nowadays, they're all pulling out weapons. Kids should be taught how to defend themselves with their hands.

Why should anything violent be outlawed simply because it's violent? That's just silliness.

I don't think so. It's usually done in a gentlemanly fashion and is less bloody than some hockey games.
