...i know them being here makes them illegal. I am wondering what percentage are criminals in their own countries?

I would imagine it would be about the same as any other nationality or race. There are criminals, murderers, and rapists of all color, size, age,etc. They have to be mentally ill.

I think you are asking the wrong question.
The right questions to ask when looking at the issue are "what percentage of rapists and murderers are Illegals?" And "what does the word Illegal Alien mean?" The fact is, crossing into the country without permission and documentation is a crime, hence the moniker illegal. And if these people already have no problem breaking that law, what others will they have no problem Breaking?

It is a false good question. It is obvious that the majority of illegals are nice guys who only work hard and want to make the best for themselves, their family and their host country. The question you should ask is what percentage of global crimes and misdemeanors is committed by illegal immigrants ? You would have a better idea of the danger to society that illegal immigration represents...

How many illegals are the victims of crime, but don't get any protection?
I ask not as a bleeding heart liberal (tho I am), but because criminals target the weak and vulnerable... including other illegals. If I were illegal I fear the police even more. Even if they couldn't prove you were guilty, they would. Strong deterrent.

Whatever the number is it is going be very rough estimate since not all illegal immigrants can be counted. That's why they're illegal. Vast majority are people making money to send back to families living at home country..
