It is more the timing that the position. Let's say you ovulate today and you and your husband made love. The male sperm will travel faster and more than likely reach your egg first. Let's say you want a girl. The best thing to do is use an ovulation test. When the test turns positive you will know that your egg will drop within the next 24 hours. If you make love knowing your egg will drop the following day what will happen is the male sperm will travel faster, but die off sooner. The male sperm only lasts for about 19 hours, whereas a female sperm last for more than 24 hours.
This is only what my wife and I read. After we made love the book suggested she sit in the "bicycle" position to allow gravity to help the sperm find the egg.
A link to the book will be below. Perhaps you can check it out at the library?
I hope this helps. Good luck.
Father of two wonderful girls.

No one knows if it's really true, but.... remember the football story: The closer you are to the end zone, the better chances you have of getting a girl (supposedly). The "female sperm" (in males) are faster swimmers, but don't have endurance. The sperm that makes males can swim longer. The further you are away from the cervix (penis head barely in at ejaculation, for example), the greater the chances are of getting a male. It's just something I heard. But seriously, it's all in God's hands. Just enjoy the conception and hope for a HEALTHY baby. I have a 4-year old that suffered complications at birth and subsequently endured a stroke. He has some developmental problems to this day but overall will be just fine. Don't be hung up on sex. You just want a healthy baby. Good luck.

No it is not, because if you are trying to conceive and want to try to choose the gender of the baby, I would suggest that you do the "Chinese Birth Chart" - simply type it on the web and follow the instructions, now remember, this is just for fun, nothing is 100% and these are all tales, but I had lucky and now I am having my baby boy - good luck.

Obviously No.the position during intercourse scientifically important in just two things 1)some diseases like heart disease we recommend the patient to be in below to decrease effort, or in some gynecological diseases. 2)some sexology studies treat the cold sexual releation by changing position.beyond that changing positions is only beneficial for enjoying the time.thanks for questioning

No. The theory comes from the fact that male sperm tend to swim faster, while girl sperm are slower. If you want a girl have sex daily from the time your period ends until 4-5 days before ovulation. If a man has a low sperm count it doesn’t help the case for either the boy or girl, but if they have a high sperm count the chances lean more towards a boy than girl. Hope it helps!

Completely untrue.
Gender is completely up to nature. No special positions during sex, no special foods,. no magic potions...all of it is false.
All fetus's are female unless they inherit the Y chromosome from their father, thus resulting in a genetic male. Females only carry the X chromosome

Not really.. however, male (y) sperm swim faster than female sperm (x), and female sperm survive longer than male sperm. So in theory, if you have sex doggy style you are more likely to have a boy since this puts the sperm closest to the cervix- the male sperm will get to the egg faster than the female sperm. If you want a girl, you should have sex woman on top because the male sperm will die before they can reach the egg and the female sperm will survive long enough to get there. It isn't fool proof, but it increases your chances of having a certain sex child.

Absolutely not. The male sperm (with all its genetics) determines the gender of the baby.
