has anyone heard stories of them, are they bad or good? how do u get hid of them?

Domovoi is a friendly spirit of the household who appears in Slavic mithology. He watches over the fire (hearth) in the room. To placate him, leave a piece of bread next to the fire.
He's a benevolent spirit and will protect your home if you respect him. Thank him sometimes and leave out a saucer of milk and a piece of bread.
Boggart, however, is a malevolent apparition whose sole purpose is to scare and annoy people.
Try not to confuse one with the other.

A Boggart is actually a Doppleganger. A Domovoi is a guardian spirit. They are polar opposites. Be very sure about which one you really have there.
If it is a Domovoi, then treat it kindly and ask for it's forgiveness. It will protect you and all the residents of the house.
If it is a Doppleganger, then you need to be firm with it and ask it to either (a) leave, or (b) what you can do to help it settle down and pass onward.

Oh my god... You have a boggart? Like the one on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban? All you do is confront the Boggart, think of something real funny, hold out a makeshift wand (like a stick), and say "Riddikulus!". That should stop it!
