Ever since i was kid i was taught that mainly through my family and i'm sure i'm not the only one. But now i can't seem to get on with my life properly, i keep putting thing's and people off because i don't feel at my game appearance wise. My dreams are on hold because i feel like i can't experience the best i can without feeling like i'm physically beautiful. It's so illogical but logical at the same time and i'm afraid i'll never live my life because of this. I'd think what if your baby turned out deformed what would you do, would you still want the baby ? What kind of person questions themselves about thing's like that..advice ? This is a real Q guys, no smart ***'z pleeeeeease.

Em sweetie (((hugs)))
Look society in general seems to idolise those **WHO** are so called **Beautiful** but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

What with model/actress photos been air brushed so no visible flaws is mis-guiding to say the least, thus making our young women feel inadequate if they are not super slim with looks to die for, this is so mis-leading from those mags..

Make up with expensive designer clothes and an airbrush touch-up will make ANYONE look good, so don't sweat.

Beauty radiates from within, if you feel good about yourself and are confident then this will outshine those false vain beauties.

I know as a Nurse I see what hangups they have and believe me it isn't pretty, they have many fears if not more than you and me put together.

You have been brain washed to a certain extent from family pressure ,who to me have high expectations from a mis guided belief that to succeed or get anywhere you must have good looks, WRONG.

To succeed you must have positive belief in yourself first and foremost be confident as this is one of the most attractive possessions that a woman can have.

Worrying about deformed babies is normal we all have those fears but they soon pass, just relax and live your life Em as you want to live it, Good Luck♥

Manipulation gets you places. Not beauty. People use manipulation to sell beauty. Every one has felt the way you feel right now. Don't trip. Just stop reading magazines and stop waching TV. There are some cool shows but the ads in between will get at you. And lord knows don't be waching music videos. Let me tell you something about being "that girl" it sucks all your money and time is spent in salons having your hair straightened, dyed, conditioned, nails, toes, about a billion dollars on clothes let alone the time it takes to shop for them. After a couple years of that you feel like a walking fashion zombie and you have no great memories of times with true friends. Try to spend time with your friends that feel comfortable in jeans and kicks and don't worry I am sure you are lovely. You don't want to work for, date or befriend anyone who doesn't see that because you don't have the new fendi glasses. That is lame as hell. You know you're worth more than peoples pettiness.

Look at any famous non-actor or model. Are they beautiful? Not all of them. Life isn't fair sometimes, and some people can get by, by having good looks which brings confidence.

Bill Gates didn't become the richest man in the world by posing for some sports fitness magazine, or acting in some big-time movie.

Also, think of your relatives or some of your friends. Are they all beautiful or gorgeous? Not all of them, surely.

What it comes down to is confidence. If you truly want something, you'll find ways to overcome your looks and truly BE THE (WO)MAN! No amount of looks or money can ever buy true happiness.

Well, first off you need to deal with your problems of insecurity that manifests itself into this distorted world view. Even though our society embraces this view commercially, most peope do not embrace it personally. You also need to deal with value like asking what is important? Family, friends, love, yourself. Surely you most value something above looks and if you dont... maybe you should go do some volunteer work or something or just take more time in your day to focus on things that are more important than looks. Everytime you look at someone stop yourself cognitively from making judgments.

I know the society that we live in decides these standards. But we don't have to agree, we have to see things for what they really are.
True beauty is in a persons confidence. Some people really think that the latest pop star is the standard of the week - and you know it never lasts. She becomes a normal person soon enough.
A warm heart and empathy for strangers are what make a person worth knowing.

Donald Trump has to be the ugliest son of a !@#$% and he caught himself a superstar model.
And guess what? Because he's so cocky and confident even I find him attractive some how. Do you get it? CONFIDENCE is the key. Without it even beauty wouldn't hold up for long.

I think we all know what that's like, either "side" (beautiful or not) we're in. It could be inspiring to look at how many "ugly" people have pursued their dreams and lived fulfilling lives. "Beautiful" people is also unhappy, unsuccessful and stupid. Your dreams are on hold? Please no!!! Be ugly or beautiful or neither or whatever but follow your dreams WITH all this conflict, not AFTER you solve it!!!

classical beauty is all about symmetry... there have even been scientific stdies carried out on what it means to be beautiful... and they all relate to symmetry...

the main problem is no one is symmetrical.... not one single person is ..... so in fact no one is beautiful...

beauty is trick of the mind.... ever notice the more you like someone the more beautiful they become... the less you like someone the more ugly they become

Well that is your answer... be beautiful on the inside and people will see your beauty shine.....
