You could have low blood pressure - especially if you feel giddy when you stand up suddenly. Or it might be an inner ear infection - that often affects the balance; in fact that seems a little more probable. Have you been swimming in a public swimming pool lately? that's a good place to pick one up, but they could happen. If this has happened suddenly and it seems to be getting quickly worse, I'd check with your doctor pretty quickly. I don't want to alarm you, but an inner ear infection could lead to deafness in that ear and/or tinnitus, which is dreadful; or if you're experiencing a sudden drop in blood pressure there could be some other infection or malaise going on elsewhere in your body.

Please treat this as important, especially if it's arisen suddenly. The downside risks are too nasty to ignore, even if they're not all that common.

Good luck. I hope you're better soon.

That sounds similar to how I feel when I have a migraine. My head hurts, I get dizzy, and sometimes my eyes burn but not always. Usually, my eyes hurt horribly. It feels like a claw grasping the back of my eyeball and winding up the nerves behind my eye. Best I can describe it. It has happened where my vision gets cloudy or I even have no vision (everything just gets dark). I also get nauseated and sometimes vomit.

I would go to the doctor. If you don't have a history of migraines, you still could have one now. There's also a lot of other things that it could be. A neurologist is you best bet, but your general practioner should be able to help and give you a referral if he/she thinks you need one.

i woke up today like that. i just slept most of the morning, took some sudifed (sp?) went back to sleep, went to school for my last two classes, came home, had some food, slept an hour, had more food and i feel fine now. I think it might've been sinus pressure. One girl in my class suggested dehydration. so just rest, drink some water, if it gets worst or lasts a while call the doctor
