Get yourself some lessons first. Make sure you know how to stay in key and hit flats, sharps and natural notes. If you try out for bands without this knowledge you will get laughed at. After this, find artist classifieds on things like Craigslist and go to your local music store, they usually have postings on bands looking for singers. Good Luck.

make demo tapes and send them to companys near your area, that should get you started if your any good
