John Casablancas is a good one, I've heard. I believe they do modeling and singing too.

If an agency attempts to charge you a fee up front, you ARE being scammed. An agent makes money only when an actor makes money, via taking a percentage cut (usually between 1-20%).

As to experience, unless you are a small child, it is next to impossible to get signed with absolutely no experience. You need to build it up - get involved in community theater, summer stock, etc. to begin to compile a resume.

If you want to learn and be exposed to casting agents at the same time, there are places such as Casablancas (which was already mentioned) and John Robert Powers. However, while they will occasionally have you meet with casting agents, they are not technically agencies but instead tuition schools and are quite expensive.

No nothing is free in this world, but their are other ways to go. Look around and find your local armature theaters and start volunteering. Then just work your way up and hope you get recognized a lot of people started here. They are also stars but not all, this is th free way to go .

Talent agents use professional actors. Enroll in an acting school if you want to be an actor and learn the business. There aren't any short-cuts to acting.

If you want free acting classes, join the drama department at your school, or call the YMCA or YWCA and ask if they teach acting classes.

there is no such animal...they all require at least extensive training, and accreditation, which is a form of experience, and they charge a percentage...any "agency" that says otherwise is fraudulent.
