Can you not see that this is what the terrorists want. They want us to destroy from within....and all the people who hate Bush are just following with what they wanted.

Do you think Bush wanted to inherit office when a terrorist attack was going to occur???? Do you not see we are at war with an evil that wants the U.S. destroyed????

You may not agree with everything that Bush has done....but my GOD......don't you see this seperation of our country is what the terrorists want.......?????? The only way we can win this way is to stand together................

Thank you. There are people that see the light. A house divided cannot stand...

I do not agree because there has always been a two (or more) party system and to deny the rights of anyone who has an opposing view would be a slap in the face to all the original framers of the constitution. You have the right to voice your opinion and those who disagree have just as much an equal right to state theirs...I do not think that terrorists are lying awake thinking of ways to get the American public to hate the president...
That said I think that we can support the troops out there risking their lives and still not have to agree with the president...it has become almost sacrilege to say anything against the man in some sectors and your question is an example of that..if we disagree that does not mean the terrorist win! I means we are not sheep and we have different opinions...I cannot in all good conscience stand behind someone that I do not agree with! That is asking far too much!
And you don't think that the Iraqi people are divided? There are so many divisions over this issue why should we be concerned about being divided...I can respect your opinion, why can't you respect ours? Who is causing the division now?

There's a saying, "if 9 people agree, it is the DUTY of the tenth person to disagree". Meaning that, the more you blindly follow, the bigger the mistake down the line. Dissent and arguments are good. The KKK is a bigger threat to national security than all the Bush critics combined, so please, let's get real! You may not be a fan of the NY Times, but they had a piece ID'ing people who were vilified for opposing the war, but made accurate predictions.

Lastly, consider this: Terrorists use force to silence and control others. They want to control others in whatever tyranny they dream of. Our freedom and liberty is a bigger threat to them, even if morale may be low. Secret detentions spying on US citizens helps them because it makes us look like liars and hypocrites. The US is standing together, but we are at the crossroad of some hard decisions on how to get out of this mess, as well as what (and who) we are willing to sacrifice.

My hatred for prez Bush is not what the terrorists want cuz the terrorists hate my values too. Try convincing the terrorists that democracy and strip clubs should be allowed.

Did you think that us hating the so-called 'terrorists' are exactly what Bush wanted?

I don't hate anyone.

Terrorists will hate us no matter who is president and whether or not we are divided politically or united as a united bloc. It's ideological, and they will not give up.

It's going to get even uglier, and we'll either get just as ugly to win, or we'll eventually be defeated.
