Is it true that dead workers were burried during the making of the walls, cuz if they did it would be kinda stupid cuz decomposing bodies would weaken the structure

Yes, it is true. I just finished reading a book on the seven wonders of the world. The Great Wall of China isn't actually solid brick/stone. It has two walls separated by a wall of dirt and workers' remains. If workers were thought to not be working hard enough, they were killled and their bodies were thrown into the wall. The book said that there were thousands of workers so entombed.

If you visit the Great WALL,,the guide will explain how the wall was constructed and how long it took. During those years, thousands of workers either died from the endless hours of work or they were killed if they weren't working hard enough. They simply threw them into the wall. Along with being the Great Wall, it is also a Great Graveyard.

I don't think that the bodies would weaken the structure, they would just be preserved in the cement. They would have to have air and microscopic bugs to decompose. The builders saved on building materials though, the buried guys took up room.
