like an 88 would be a B+ for college level?

For me, college level was 90-100 was an A, 80-89, B, etc - the minuses and pluses weren't a big deal because they weren't awarded at the end of the semester. If you have a C and an A+, you get a B, period. Students could only be awarded F, D, C, B, and A (were also incompletes, audits, etc).

For grad school that changed and you could earn minuses and pluses. In that case I think the 88 would have been a B+.

P.S. Yes, it does depend on the college as well. Like I said, as an undergrad I couldn't earn a B+, while in grad school I could. Same university.

It depends on the college. An 88 is generally a B. In some areas an F starts at 60, some at 70, some at 75.

at my college it was the professor's discretion on grades. Some were 80/90...etc.. others were stricter.. others were more liberal
