That's the beauty of college, there are two main points:learning and partying. No one really cares about how old you are. Also you're now of a legal age to drink that will make you more popular if anything.

And besides, it's a lot more common than you think to take a few years off before getting serious about college. Not everyone is ready for it at the same time, and that's totally cool.

Good luck!

Why are you feeling shy? You are achieving something that a lot of people never accomplish! I am 28 and returning to school and I actually speak out more, and bring more discussion to each class then I did when I was 19! I don't think there is anything wrong with reutrnin to school at any age!

Nothing to feel shy about. You may be a couple of years older than some of the other students, but that's nothing. If you look around, you will probably find students in their 60s and 70s. As long as you do your work and attend to your studies, no one will even notice you.

I am 34 and recently returned to college, relax and enjoy yourself. As your classess progress you will meet a lot of new people. Don't be afraid to say hello and check out student organizations. Study groups are a great way to get to know people and chances are they are a lot of people that have similar circumstances as yours.

You've made the right decision of going back to college. There's nothing to be ashamed about because there are other people much older than your are and still in college..

22? What are you worrying about? Mostly everyone in college is in their 20's.

You're 22 - you will fit in fine.

if you were 82 - it may be different.
