Any type, cotton, wool, fabric, ANY! I mean from scratch to finish. I know NOTHING about how to make my own knitting supplies, but I am SO APT TO LEARN! I am mostly looking for websites, but any info will be helpful.

They publish a magazine on spinning and have additional information on their website. It is a very detailed process that takes practice to master, but beginners can spin suitable yarn to knit or weave something with.
There are also spinning guilds that are more than happy to teach you the process. Interweave Press makes a list of guilds available on their website.
