Im 38 weeks pregnant and today when i used the bathroom and cleaned my -back- it was a lilttle bloody. Does anybody know what could this be??

If it was your "backside", I would first think hemorrhoids. Nice huh? As if we don't have enough problems when we're pg. Really concerned? Call the dr.

More than likely you lost your mucus plug. It can contain some blood, it can be clear or it can have little white specks in it, they look like egg shells. Was the blood red or pink? This means that you are starting to dilate and labor isn't too far off. You could still go to 40 weeks or more but if your having any contractions, then you probably wont make it to your due date. Your considered full term right now so you can safely go into labor. You should call your doctor or the hospital you plan to deliver at and let them know what happened, They may want to see you and check your progress. Congrats on the baby and Merry Christmas!
P.S. I don't think it's hemorrhoids because when you wiped you probably would of felt it and had some pain, which you did not mention. It is possible that the blood just dripped back that way and when you wiped, you thought it came from there.

Well, are you showing any other signs of going into labor, like pains or anything? From the way you worded the question though, you may just have hemorrhoids, not the best part of pregnancy, but it happens to a lot of us. Just be careful, and try to see if there is anymore problems, it could be that you are not going to go another 2 weeks.

It could be your mucous plug, which means you will go into labor very soon. Congratulations!!

it was probably your mucus plug that just means that your labor is progressing
