Now if you think cricket is played by boring old men at a country club you should face a fast bowler who delivers a ball consistently at around 100mph, and he bounces it before it arrives at you and can hit you with it (in fact having the ball delivered without it hitting the pitch is the exception) compare that to baseball.
If you think Babe Ruth created excitement with his bat, consider this, on six straight deliveries Sir Garfield Sobers hit the ball out of the ground each time, that would be like six home runs in six balls one one appearance at the stumps.
If you want to talk about fielding, let us discuss the position silly mid on, a cricketer with no gloves facing a ball that can come off the bat faster than 100 mph.
Is cricket exciting? You bet!
