Ewww, I just realised what you're on about!
Like the kid in Rat Race with Rowan Atkinson.
Prairie Dogging, I think the yanks call it.

I've touched a DISH cloth - every day actually...and when I went through my needlework phase I touched cloth a lot - feeling for texture, checking length, width and thread count etc.
Am I missing something here?
Does "touching cloth" have a connotation I am unaware of?
Did I come across as a mucky beggar til I admitted my ignorance??

My grandad once forgot to move his string vest out of the way and ended up shitting through it. After that we nicknamed him spaghetti hoops.
