You also pulled Britian's ass out of the fire. Does this make the British wimps. Also the French helped pull your ass out of the war of independence. I suggest, go to war with the French and come back and we'll talk again. What does everyone else think?

The French have won a number of wars, but their track record really isn't all that great. The Gauls were nailed by Caesar. They were bullied by the Vikings (see:Daneguld). They have lost to England many, many, many times, often snatching defeat from the hands of victory (see: Agincourt, Napoleon). They have been Germany's b**** for the past couple hundred years (see: Franco-Prussian War, WWI, WWII). Although a powerful and noble people, it is kind of hard to defend a record this bad.

No, he has no leadership experience and has never won a skirmish much less a war. His combat experience is close to zero. He was third from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy. The only thing he ever had going for him was his daddy and granddaddy were both admirals. People who have been researching his POW years can find no evidence to support any of his claims that did not originate with him, his campaign or from people who at the time were subject to retribution from his father. As far as can be determined an alternative history has been fabricated. The big question that the media should have been asking from the start is "How, if you are a helpless prisoner, unable to prevent yourself being tortured, and forced to make propaganda recordings for the enemy, how did you manage to refuse to be released when they wanted to boot you out the door?" That just does not hang together even a little bit. If such a miraculous and strange thing had been possible, the effect on the other prisoners would not have been for the good. Strange what people will believe when they want to.

Britian didn't surrender in either war. France helped some during the revolution, but that was at the end of their period of power. In modern times France has not been able to take care of themselves militarilly. Go to war with France? It'd take 10 minutes!

I don't see why people get caught up with this stuff. Nobody wins in a war.
