I prefer a man who I know can take care of me. That generally means that he should make more money than I do. A real man can provide for and protect his family, that is just human nature. I really think that men who cannot provide for their families are wimps. So yes for the most part, I am attacted to men who make more than me. Not that it is the first thing I find out, I like to know what they do for a living and what their goals and ambitions are.
**Edit*** Owen, I have met amny women who stay home and take care of their kids and their house, and NONE of them are lazy, by any means. It is hard work to keep a house clean and take care of kids. A real Man WANTS to take care of his family, and let his wife's number one priority be raising his children and keeping his home in order. And it is not Old fashioned, it is the way it should be. If you don't want that kind of woman, go find yourself a man hating FemiNazi to hookup with.

OK, to me money doesn't really matter, as long as we have a good relationship. What good is a man that has more money than a women, If that man maybe don't have a good personality. But some women do like to be strong and independent them self's.
Hope this helps

Hey Greenburg!
Eventhough you might think that women only want guys with lots of money, it usually is not the case. In a real relationship, women want men that have a nice job and good career plans. That does not require lots of dough, just a lot of being prepared for the future. I don't think women are looking for men with a job they do not enjoyor a man with no aspirations. Women look for love and stability, not your wallet (at least most of the women I know agree.) :p
Good luck!
Peace

I'm sure some do. I'm very much in love with my boyfriend of two years. He is quite a bit older so people assume he has money. When we first got together, we would walk to the store because neither of us had a car! Of course, we are both doing much better financially these days, but he is still by no means rich. However, in my head, I know I am attracted to guys with money because I am able to step back and see that I have issues with stability. Money = stability. But that is just me.

Most do, but you shouldn't take it from that women are gold diggers. They simply find wealth an attractive feature in a man, the same way men find a nice *** an attractive feature in women. Its likely that something deep in their genetic makeup says wealthy = good genes. Plus wealthy = good provider for kids. I'd say the majority of women find wealth genuinely attractive, only a small percent are actual 'diggers' who would date men they are NOT attracted to in hopes of getting financial benefit. Very different things.

Lord , yes just a whole, whole bunch more. I wouldn't want to get tied in with some man that I made more money than they did, shoot no, no way. The more money , the more honey. Heck no that is out of the question. I wouldn't even think about dating someone that might tell me . lets pool our money together and go get a Pizza. I'd go after the Pizza by myself and never to return no more. That is strictly a no , no.

Only the lazy ones that want ot staqy at home and watch soaps
all day this day and age women that are classy and smart don't wait for a paycheck from the hubby they are out there working and making more money in most relationships. With inflation most couples are both working so they can live a comfortable lifestyle I don't think it really matters especially in marriage everything is shared anyways.

I do. I want to be able to afford a family and kids, and to spend my time taking care of them instead of working my a** off to make ends meet. My husband makes way more than I do, and I certainly prefer it this way.

Some women would but what would they do if their husband lost everything - love him less? Who wants that?
If it's true love, it won't matter. For example, I just want a guy who can pay his bills comfortably.
