Depending on play, you will have either won or it is considered a draw. She cannot win as a player who has just a king cannot win the game. If 50 moves are made (50 white moves & 50 black moves) without the advance of a pawn or the capture of a piece, then the game is a draw. It is also possible the game could end as a stalemate if a player's king will be in check no mater how he moves his pieces but the king is not presently in check. Also, there is a potential of a draw due to a repetition of position where the chess positions is repeated 3 times (usually in a perpetual chess situation).

Well, if you played long enough, you wouldnt of won, unless you got her cornered, with king 2 spaces horizontal or vertcal away from the opposing king, diagonal 1 space from the queen, which would be diagonal to the opposing king. Thats one way you could of won. If you were playing with the turns thing, where you get 25 turns to try to get the king if the opponent has only the king, then she probably won. It depends on the optinal rules you have.

Well we really do not know if anyone won.
The object of chess is to checkmate the king.
However in the case of king and queen against lone king, a stalemate is possible.
If no stalemate then stronger side (K + Q) ought to win.

You were in a very good position to win, but hadn't sealed the deal yet. You needed to get her to back up to one of the rows on the side of the board, get your King within 2 spaces of hers, then get your Queen directly in front of or alongside her King so wherever she could move would be in check from the Queen, and your King would prevent her from taking your Queen. That would be the fat lady singing (no I did Not call your Mom a fat lady).

If she didn't resign and you never put her in checkmate then it was a draw (nobody won). But had you kept playing and making the correct moves on your part, she could not have avoided losing. King and Queen can always force mate against King.

Locomonoh is right you won by points. Each chess piece has a different point value so its a draw if she's good enough not to let you checkmate her but you have more points so you won.

No one. The way you win in chess is to get the opponents King.
Technically the game never ended, unless there's a for-fit or a draw.

Chess is won by checkmating your opponent's King. It doesn't matter who has the most pieces on the board. If you can checkmate your opponent's King, you win...
From what you said, it sounds like you didn't finish the game.
Did you checkmate her?

No one, the game wasnt over. You have to put her king in checkmate, which means she's in check, and everywhere she moves she is also in check. Now if you two ended the game b/c she couldnt move, and she was not in check, then it was stalemate, which is a tie so no one wins.
