The heart starts beating around 6 weeks, so using internal ultrasound you could hear/see it then. Usually around 12 weeks you are able to hear it with a doppler device, and around 20 weeks you can hear it with a stethescope. And I read somewhere that around 28 weeks it can be heard by others if they put their ear to your belly.

I could hear my baby's heartbeat at 9 weeks.

Its usually at the 16th week but you know with technology is so advance that Im sure that doctors are capable of hearing the heartbeat earlier.

I could see and hear my baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks but this was with an internal sonor(the fun one (sarcasm) that they stick up in you!). The first time I heard it from my belly was at 14 weeks.
