In Nam it was so hot most went commando. Now they issue G strings. Really you have your choice. *

My boyfriend is in the Army and he wears whatever underwear he wants to. As far as I know, there are no standard issued under-garments, beyond the brown tshirts and the socks.

well, what I know is that the English military didn't weared. They went "commando" while resting, that way, when they aired (theyhave to bath less and won't need to wash the underwear) and didn't lose that much time getting dressed.
