Of course! I live in Salt Lake so I've been and Park City Mountain Resort is where I board when I go. I have a pass there and I love it, and for the first time I'm going to The Canyons which is a really popular board resort. They cost about the same and you can get discount lift tickets at Ski N See locations in Utah. I love PC so I really hope you like it too.

Park City is awesome. Some of the trendier restuarants and hotels can be a bit pricey but overall it's still pretty reasonable. Nothing like Aspen or anything. Plus if you're willing to make the commute you can always drive over to Salt Lake City for some good food.

Be ready for a good time though.

The one thing I will say about Park City though is that the locals are freakin good!! They were killing the terrain park the last time I was there, doing the kind of stuff you ussually see on videos.

i live just northwest of there and know a little bit. Good snow, except recently the mountains have missed all of the good storms because of low pressure dumping the storms on cities. VERY PRICY AREA OF UTAH!!! Salt lake city's not even as expensive as park city, which rivals vail, Colorado for expensiveness. You will probably be hitting icy slopes, so bring plenty of padding for your backside...trust me. Great place all in all if you've got the means to pay. You've got Canyons and Park City Mountain Resort right around there, as well as the jump sites for the long jumps during the 2002 Olympics. They're still there and just fun to see.

Have Fun and maybe I'll see ya around!

This is one of the largest ski resorts in Utah! However, the town is wonderful for shopping and they have many really good restaurants all along Main St. in downtown Park City. Hey, if you don't have a great time there on New Year's Eve then I'll eat some Crow. Only small drawback is that it iS Very expensive!

There's a reason why some of the best pro snowboarders in the world call Salt Lake City home. It's close to Park City. And Park City is downright sick. One of the best resorts in North America, in my opinion. You'll be there during a busy time, so it'll be crowded. They've got some killer tree runs if you're looking to avoid all the tourists and skiiers.

In any case, you'll definitely have fun!

i used to live in salt lake city (no, i am not a latter day saint) and park city is a great place to hang out. i try to go back during the sundance film festival in late january, unfortunately unless you're staying a month you'll be a little early.

park city is also a good place to ski or snowboard with park city, deer valley and the canyons but the snow and terrain are better on the west side of the wasatch mountains. alta (my personal favorite), snowbird, brighton and solitude are located in little and big cottonwood canyons. and it's cheaper on the west side.

if you drink, be prepared to join a private club (or ask the regular at the end of the bar to sponsor you in).

Bring your trust fund with you, it is gonna be costly. It is a beautiful place to visit. If it's not too expensive for you, you'll want to go back.
