In such a modern world, where we all want peace (in some form or another), why are people still EXPRESSING hate towards other people? I emphasize expressing because i know that it is everyone's right to have their own opinion. But i want to know why people still choose to show it, share it, yell it, blog it, etc.

I think they live their lives in fear - afraid of change, afraid of diversity, afraid of their own inadequacies. So they try to shout justification from the rooftops.

I agree with you - hold your opinion, by all means, but don't assume everyone else needs to hear it.

"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"?

Hold on, young lady. You have made a rather large and very untrue assumption.Where did you get the idea that all people want peace, in some form, or another. There is a sizable minority who do not want peace, but the opposite, war unending. There are people in this world who not only express hate, they make hate. Among us are predators and parasites that are responsible for much of our legal systems. You answered your own question, actually; they choose to hate and kill.

I think the reason people express hate so much is because they feel like they are so separate from everyone in the world. The truth though is that people are all connected to each other in the world. A quote from Bob Dylan says "All this talk about equality. The only thing people really have in common is that they are all going to die." I think this is truth but I also think that we are more connected to each then we really think. If you look at children particularly toddlers they all play together there is no racism between them they play and have fun because they have not learned from their parents and society that people who are different are wrong. I think that everyone in the world is unique in their own way whether it is race, religion, etc. I think the world would be a very different place if everyone could except each other, but maybe this is the way God intended us to be, or maybe it is a mistake on his part, not everyone is the same, not everyone is different.

the underestimated fakery in this world today perplexes the trivial consciousness of the human race. Well, actually, they are all blind!! - some by choice - otheres by whatever. If only there was one single way to bridge the intricate gap/space between us!!! What harmonious glory we would all experience!! There's be Utopia !! However this is impossible - for the fact is certain and always shall be that w/ the good there must be the accompaniment of the bad!!1 Tis the only solution to balance which is most certainly followed with peace, serenity, self validity!!!

From childhood that is what some parents have taught their children. The politicians continue to teach that hatred is better than peace and you can see that by the way they are always attacking each other. PEACE must start at home and spread throughout. That is one lesson that noone will ever learn completely.

We all choose to hate because of different reasons. Hating openly is better than pretending to be nice and then bad talking them behind their back. At least openly hating is truthful. Plus, its hard to contain it if u hate someone. I mean, it's kind of like acting like you hate someone when you really like them.

sometimes its damn near impossible to change people of their ways. negativity sucks. and im glad your taking a stand!

side note:
As people were all not going to agree with everyone and everything but their is no need for hate or anger in difference of opinions. There are better ways of expressing yourself without being negative and without looking like a jerky.

Because humans are hateful, we hate everything that is remotely different from us. We want to spread our hate through the world until we eventually nuke ourselves and the world ends.

What one does not understand, one fears.

Fear breeds anger.

Anger breeds hate.

People whom feel inadequate in any way shape or form, express that hate instead of learning to overcome it.
