A lot of footballers have been branded as the new Maradona however i think Lionel Messi will become the new Maradona if not better but to do this he must stay fit, which he hasn`t up to now. I really like Messi and hope that he could go on to big things

Never.Because Lionel Messi is Lionel Messi and Maradona is Maradona.
These two people are different,they don't even have any family relationships,how can they be the same??
Lionel Messi will just be himself and so is Maradona.But definitely and obviously,Lionel Messi will be a great football player and maybe one day,he can become a legendary Argentinian football player just like Maradona.

Messi is going to be better than Maradona. He doesn't nead to cheat to become a legend (a fact that the English will never let us forget), and he might have the brains to stay off drugs, unlike Maradona. Messi is the first, last, and only Messi. He doesn't *need* to be the next anything, regardless of how good Maradona was. That said, vamos Messi & vamos Argentina! :D

Althuogh Messi is still young but he will never ever be like the great maradona
Messi get injured very easily and for a long time but when it comes to maradona he is like a wall does not break easily

i think that messi is a very good player and is very talented but he is still a young kid and has alot to learn before being named the next maradona. he needs to prove himself a little more . but theres a very good chance he could be
