I have three kids, and every pregnancy was different, I did notice early weight gain with my first one. Just try to be careful that it is not too much, since you have to worry about getting unnecessary weight of later, and gestational diabetes and things like that. I wouldn't worry about it too much if it's only a little weight.

Everyone differs, therefore you cannot go by others experiences -Many women when they "feel" or "think" that they might be pregnant tend to eat more than usual and therefore gain some weight and claim that it is because of the pregnancy. Other women when they know or have an idea that they might be pregnant tend to watch what they eat and make sure to eat healthy and in order to maintain their weight. I am 34 weeks and I have gained 10 pounds, I eat very healthy and make sure to exercise everyday, therefore, if you are pregnant, eat healthy, it is not about how much weight you gain but that you eat healthy and your baby to be healthy as well.. good luck..

Maybe you're like me. During my first trimester, I looked bigger and my breast had surely grown and I was bloated at times. I also couldn't button my jeans anymore. However, during my first trimester, I only gained 1 pound. So, it's probably your mind playing tricks on you. I'm 13 weeks now and I've gained another pound. But I feel like I've gained 10.

If you mean that you are gaining weight around this time it may be from the holidays. You usually dont gain weight right away.

gaining weight when pregnant varies from woman to woman. Yes, you could start feeling "bloated" within the first month.
