Many people are simply fed up with all the controversy about sexuality, and they have chosen to become 'a-sexual.' This is no button to tick for this in MySpace, so people are forced to sellect No Answer.
It doesn't mean that these people don't have a sexual orientation. They just object to this automatic question. In some cases they seem to object to being defined by their sexual identitty, something you think at least a few women might embrace.
Of course this is a guess, since in my MySpace page I put 'Gay'. As I recall, I was frustrated to discover I was gay as a teenager, and I tried very hard to deny it. So I might not answer straight or gay to the question, back when I was discovering what sex I really liked. So maybe this guy just isn't sure.
And what about hermophrodites? Do they get a MySpace category?

Um, I don't put my orientation on my "myspace" because:
1) it's noone's business
2) My page isn't about my orientation or for dating purposes.
3) I am not trying to market my products to just one target audience.
I have a myspace page because I'm an artist and I promote my art that way, and because I keep in touch with a lot of friends that way. I don't put my orientation on it because those who know me already know my orientation and also know I'm in a relationship.
I don't use my myspace to look for dates or to flaunt my sexuality.

Perhaps he doesn't feel it's a relevant question and didn't want to answer it.
Possibly he is biusexual, or gay and just gets sick of defending it.
Either that, or he likes to keep people guessing so he doesn't get a whole lot of friend requests from people wanting to hit on him.
If they aren't sure which way he swings, then they are less likely to make a move in case they end up feeling embarrassed.

I too found a friend of mine on MySpace and was rather surprised she had "no answer" as well... She had admited to me in the past she thought she might be bisexual but she liked guys to much.
But sometimes she seems a tad bit jealous when I start talking about a girl I'll like to date!!
Soooooo ya, I think shes bisexual but is scared and maybe she has family and friends on myspace she'll rather they don't know. As she would say "Its no ones business!!" (She only came out to me cause I came out to her first.....)
So yep, either "no answer" means they are bi-sexual but don't want family members and friends to see or they don't know. (could be bi-curious)
But I think thats an auto answer when you first sign up?? I may be wrong.

They put that when there unsure about there sexuality or not ready to come out just yet, I put No Answer for a while then when I came out I put it to Bi, they may just be unsure or not out of the closet, or, maybe just forgot to fill out that question :D

I did the same on my myspace page. I'm gay, but I'm just not ready to tell everyone yet. Your friend might be gay, either that or he just doesn't think it's anyone's business to know his orientation.

If he's unsure or curious or in the closet and doesn't want to get gay bashed than he would put "no comment". If you're a close friend to him and WON'T judge him, than I would ask him about it and see if he wants to talk. He'll feel better and you'll understand him more.

No that isn't what those states that safeguard "sexual orientation" conceal, till they did not terminate a gay male worker of the same age for bringing a youthful guy to a place of work adventure.

Their probably bisexual. Girls are starting to do this all the time on myspace now. They are too embarrassed to put down bisexual or gay so they leave it blank. Sad really.
