Becoming a permanant english Teacher in Japan?

Is it possible to be a permanant english teacher in Japan even though I'm American?

What do you mean by Permanant? You mean your current job will keep your job permanantly or you want a permanant visa?

Without knowing which question you want to ask, I guess off the top of my head the answer to your question is yes.
