I had a C-section at 38 weeks 1 day. I was having twins, and I knew I'd done my part the best I could by carrying them to term. I was sooooo ready to be a new Mom again, and to NOT be pregnant anymore, that I refused to let myself get nervous. They weren't coming out any other way. It was going to happen regardless, why worry? I knew I would get nervous at some point, but I was going to wait as long as possible. I thought it would happen once I was admitted into the hospital. It didn't, it happened while they were doing one final ultrasound, to make sure that the presenting twin was still breech. (Little fart was, of course.) I got so nervous I started shaking and everything got really cold.
My advice is to take a could deep breaths and TRY to calm down. Focus on the end result. As far as the throat thing goes....I had laryngitis when I had my C-section. I would just pass the info on to your doctor. If he/she doesn't think it's anything to worry about, then it's not. But I would definately call, right now, about the bloody stools. I don't think that's okay, there might be something else going on. I mean it could be nerves, but why risk it? I would call your doctor ASAP!
A word of advice for after your C-section. They're going to make you get up and walk around as soon as they can. The first time's not so bad, so walk MORE than they ask you to. It will help. The second time they get you up, you're going to be really sore. Don't forget that you just had abominal surgery. Take it slow, and walk as long as you can. It will help. Take it easy the first two weeks afterwards. Congrats on your baby, and the best of luck to you!

Bloody stools doesn't sound normal AT ALL. You should call your doctor immediately and discuss this with him. Other than that, the throat infection doesn't have anything to do with the matter of fact you're having a c-section tomorrow; however, I could be wrong so you might want to talk with your doc about that one also. Goodluck though, hopefully everything goes well.

If you have a for real infection they should have started you on some type of antibiotic. Let your doctor know about the stools but it may be from hemorrhoids.
I had 2 C Sections and I was really scared but if I had to do it again I would rather do the C Sections. To me, the most scary part was not being able to feel anything. Not that you want to feel what is going on but I guess the thought that you have no control over what is going on. That is what scared me.
Afterwards, just don't laugh !! That hurts !!!
Best of luck to you.

I have no idea about the bloody stools but definantly talk to your OB about that before you c-section.
I had a c-section almost 20 months ago and I am having another 1 in 8 weeks-do not worry-you feel nothing during the procedure and the baby is out so quick! The recovery is painful but they give you pain killers and such. You will be ok!

The stools are probably hemroids, which happen late in pregnancy. The throat infection may or may not stop surgery, the deciding factor will be the health of the baby. The moment they feel the baby is in distress, they will deliver it whether you have an infection or not. Please do not be nervous, its a wonderful thing. You should be happy. You are in good hands.

Call your doctors emergency line and ask (believe me, it's ok to call, I worked for an answering service for doctors). It is true, if you have any kind of infection or sickness in the body you shouldn't have surgery, but it could also harm the baby, you need to call the doctor ER line and ask.

I'm guessing your friend isn't a doctor. If your doctor tells you that you need a c-section I would just listen to her. Howver, if you are having concerns you need to speak to your doctor about them
