Does anyone have any tips on how to do screamo without damaging my voice?

I know lot of people think this style of music is stupid but i dont care, any websites that tel you how to do it would be appreciated too. if you dont even kno what screamo is then pass this question by!!

Have you ever heard of Melissa Cross - the Zen of Screaming?
She is a vocal instructor who teaches you how to scream, matter of fact, she has a new DVD. The Zen of Screaming 2. You should pick it up if you are serious about screaming without damaging your vocal cords.

Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, God Forbid, Andrew WK, Shadows Fall, Phil of All That Remains, Trevor of Unearth, Matt from Trivium, Angela of Arch Enemy and even some of the guys from SlipKnot, have received vocal instruction from Melissa Cross.

So don't let people tell you, screaming is dangerous because it's not, if properly trained! There is a safe way and an unsafe way, my recommendation, pick up her DVD. By the way, it makes a great stocking stuffer for the holidays!

No sorry i haven't even figure out a way to do that.I'm still trying myself but sometimes honey works for me and no i don't mean syrup either.Try it.

Keep your throat hydrated at all times. No matter how you do it you will still be damaging your voice. good luck.

I wanna do the same element. i'm rather into hardcore music. a large number of ppl imagine screamo takes no expertise and picture it sounds undesirable, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does take expertise. And it truly is getting more beneficial conventional, it is why all it extremely remains hit #7 on the charts. besides, I hear u gotta make it come from ur diaphram and to no longer do it for lengthy sessions of time.
