I think philly.. if you look at it in the long run, they get three 1st round picks for next year, and they now have money to sign free agents..

on denver, too much scoring now with j.r. smith, AI, and melo..

wat do you think?

I think Denver did. The NBA revolves around money. Iverson is going to put jeans in the seats and that is what counts for now. Anthony and Iverson will be able to get enough shots because they won't play any defense and will be leaking for fast breaks all game long. Will Denver win a Championship? Not this year unless they can get a stopper that can cover a 2 or 3. If they can get that, Then they might be able to.

The Sixers on the other hand will be at the mercy of free agents and the luck of the draw. Even if they get the #1 pick next year and land superstar free agents it won't be until 2009 or 2010 when they will be able to put a quality playoff team. People might forget about the Sixers by then. Being a Sixers fan I have been left with a bitter taste in my mouth too often. Iverson played with heart and emotion...he put it all out on the floor every night. Maybe if they would have channeled some of his energies into become a complete player they woulda coulda shoulda won a title with him at the POINT.

As far as the potential for immediate success, Denver got the better deal. Even with 3 first round picks, Philly will have to rebuild their team that was once centered around one person. The future picks will also have to adjust to the NBA and that will not happen over night. With Iverson, Denver has an established leader who is hunger for a championship, not to mention that he's the number 1 or 2 scorer?

no this could be a tricky one. look at this way Iverson 31 years old, the second leading scorer in the league, with maybe five more years tops to play at the level he is playing. the 76ers on the other hand got a decent guard from denver, their first round pick along with the two they already have. so the opportunity to get good players is there. the76ers are going to build a young strong team that might just be a east contender in a couple of years.the trade was good for both Philly and Iverson, because Iverson had no one to play with and Philly need to get all they could get for the future. However, I think Philly came out on top. If Iverson ends up winning a ring there will be alot of second thoughts by the 76ers frachise.

I think they both got an even part of the deal. Look at Denver, they got an all-star point guard in exchange for an average pointguard and a 3rd string PF, plus the 2 draft picks but when u have melo and iverson on the same team you dont really need them. Now look at Philly, got Iverson out of the picture which was one of the goals, have 2 extra draft picks for 2007 which if used wisely might produce a strong Sixers team by 2009-10. I think it was a good trade for both teams.

I'd say that Philly got a lot better of a deal in the trade. AI's a good player and I respect him for that. But he holds on to the ball too much and trys to be the hero taking impossibly difficult. He also has a thuggish apperance that Philly does'nt really need. I'm glad Philly finally got rid of AI, and got 3 first-round picks off it.

I think I agree with you Philly got a lot Cap Space and they have 3 1st round draft picks so they will have young players so Philly got the best out of the trade.

philly, more problems are casued from denver. there are two scorers and one ball. Also, they received a great PG and picks which will help them in the later future.
