Definately have to agree and go with mary jo fernandez. she was such a class act, and great player - but didn't have what it took to take the slam.

Mary Joe Fernandez would be my pick. She reached a very high
level without winning a Grand Slam singles tournament. She
won doubles at the Australian and French Opens once each.

I reckon Elena Dementieva...she propably would've won a couple if it weren't for that serve...

Definitely the player that ought to have won more grand slam titles is Kim Clijsters, she has one hell of a game... and a running forehand that rivals Steffi Graf's....and hers was the best ever...
