one of my best friends told my absolute best friend about a rumor that was being spread about me, instead of coming to me and seeing if it was even true. I think i've lost my trust for her, but i don't know if i should or if i'm over reacting. if she's as close to me as she says she is, she shouldn't be telling other people rumors about me without coming to me about them right?? what should i do?

well you are asking total strangrs before asking your "best friend." Maybe you should just talk to her about it if you are so close. Its probably just a misunderstanding anyway...it happens in all friendships unfortunately.

Best thing is always communication sista! Don't assume or accuse your friend in anyway that will make the situation worse. Approach her and tell her that you heard a rumor was going on about her and that you needed clarification about what it was. As long as you talk it out and find some understanding then that should open up clear avenues for less assumption and clearer information. If she is lying then she really isn't a best friend...is she?

I was recently in the same type of situation but I ended our friendship becuz she took the argument to a whole other level. But the only thing that you can really do is talk to her and tell her how you feel. You aren't overeacting because she should have come to you instead telling other people when she didn't know the truth. After you talk and you don't think you can trust her anymore then you will really have to reevaluate your friendship with her.

Well, Friendship is about trust, love, good times and, laughter. Would you rather have a friend that you can trust, or a friend that spreads rumors about you that you cannot trust? I think I'll let you answer that one yourself. Just follow what you think YOU should deserve.

if she didn't want to come to you to ask you if it was true or not, she is just a gossip spreader, and she isn't your real friend. Cut this girl loose

I don't know how old you are, but if there's one thing I can tell you, having a lot of BFF is overrated. Just keep one or two very close friends that you can trust.

Now what you should do, still continue to be polite to her, but realize that she isn't your true friend. It's possible to still be nice to people, but keep them at arm's length as the old saying goes.

Good Luck, and keep your head high.

Look forward to the right one. Then you'll know and there will be no regrets just love and forgiveness.

well it means that you should "keep an eye " on her in the future...this could be strike one...after three strikes you know what happens right?....Best friends are such by the way they act not by the way they talk....
