He had a great running back, one of the best line of all time, talented receivers, but what did HE do that makes him great. He was accurate but I think David Carr could have been on that team and people would have praised him as well.

It takes a quarterback to carry a team. Mediocre players have become superstars because of their their quarterback. Troy Aikman had the right connection with the team. They won 3 Superbowls as a team. But Aikman's stats put him at the top.

I think it was that he a great team around him and they made him look great. He had a good line featuring Larry Allen, Good running backs like Emmit Smith and Daryl Johnston and great receivers like Michael Irvin and tight end Jay Novachek. With an offense like that he couldn't help but look good.

And he was a great passer in that he could put the ball where he wanted it to go and throw long passes to anywhere on the field.

you are sooooo wrong. troy kept on winning games even after the
THREE SUPER BOWL WINNING roster had broken up. a qb isalmost THE most important player on a team. troy won the most games in a decade for a qb, and hes already in the hall of fame.
you obviously have never seen him play, or seen how accurate and talented he is
