Buying the pregnancy test is not worth it yet. Give it more time because it won't really make a difference to know now, and there's a good possibility that even if you are pregnant and you use one of the at-home pregnancy tests now the result would be false. Since your symptoms can also be those of starting your period, wait another week or so (I know the waiting sucks!) and then if it's still not started, consider an at-home pregnancy test.

Why not wait a couple of weeks. If you still haven't started your period, then its a fairly safe bet that you are pregnant and so the expense of he pregnancy test will be less of a risk. f you live in England, a pregnancy test done by a pharmacist is a bit cheaper and it takes only a few mins if they aren't busy with prescriptions, but they like you to be at least 2 weeks overdue. Most doctors do them free, but the same applies. Take an early morning urine sample in a clean container. (This contains a hgher concentration of the pregnancy hormone as it is stronger, and so makes it easier to give the correct result) Whatever result you are hoping for, good luck!

Hmm... do you have a stuffy nose? I got one when I was pregnant- had one my entire pregnancy- it was like I was getting the flu, but it wouldn't go away. Also- certain smells really got to me as well. Like coffee, alcohol, ciggs, seafoods. Other symptoms, very very sore breasts- not like the usual before my periods. also overly tired, and had to take naps and go to bed way earlier than normal. I also after 2 weeks of being pregnant, finally just knew there was something different with my body. So that's when I went to the store and bought a test- do NOT get the generic tests! I bought one, and the line was sooooo LIGHT! I could barely see it! So then I went and got an EPT test, and it showed very clearly that yes, I was pregnant.

Goodluck, if you want, just wait a week or two, then take the test. Just to make sure it really isn't your period coming.

I'll tell you what, i was feeling just like you when i first found out i was pregnat, and i really thought i was just going to get my period even though i found out before i missed my period but it makes no difference. Get a pregnancy test that comes with more than one test you get to save the others or there are some dollar store that sell pregnancy test for only a dollar and trust me they work just like any other u got nothing to loose try it. Hope i helped you at list a bit

Fiive days late does not sound like much to me, but then, I have had irregular periods. There are a lot of factors that can throw menstrual timing off a bit, but If you have always been more like clockwork, it might be very significant. The other symptoms don't really suggest much to me.

The real point if, what are you risking? If this am-I-pregnant question is driving you nuts, spend the bucks!
If not, you can wait a couple of more days...

I hope your eventual answer is what you hope for.

Well it would be nice to know if you are or not, wouldn't it. If you are you might want to start saving the money up for this baby, and the sooner the better. It sounds like you might need time for that anyway. If you aren't, go to a doctor and figure out what is going on, it might be serious, but you would never know it, unless you go.

If you go to walmart you can get one for three dollars. It is the equate brand. they work just as well as the other one. If you are already five days late it will detect the pregnancy hormone if you are pregnant. I think you should do it.
good luck. and congrats if you are!

If you really need to know right away, then buckle down and buy one. If you feel like you can wait and see if your period comes, then wait until 7 days since missed period, and then buy one.
