one of my friend (35 m, single) from India, is in love with a woman (US 75, widow, has two sons) over internet since last 4 years. he's almost mad for her and they speak on net over 2-3 hours daily. he wants to have a real life relationship with her but none of them has sufficient means to go abroad to live with. but he is trying. it's too difficult for them. i tried to make him to think practically but no way. he says he had lost his love one time before it due to his mistake (that he was too late to know how much he loved his ex f) now he can't go anymore with another mistake.
now i know how much love they do or feel for each other but i m helpless to do anything.
what do you think about him (and her, their future relationship)?
is he normal or there's some psycho problem with him??
how i can help him? (i don't want to interfere but i want happiness for my friends)

It would be like having a relationship with your mother....
but it's your personal choice - we don't know the equation you 2 share...so if you feel like going ahead with it - it's not illegal.....
if you truely feel for each other - what others think will not matter...

Umm... That is a HUGE Age differences! I think he should just let the relations with this lady go... You don't know if she's being honest or what, since it's over the net.. Plus she's way too old, she could not travel to India. And he may have second thoughts once he meets her. If she has children and is so much older she will have different vaules/veiws of life...

Well, in my opinion, that's just not normal. I'm not hung up on age differences, but when one is 40is and the other is in their 70's, that's just not normal. How can there be any chemistry there. Clearly, they have never met in person because if they had, there would be second thoughts there. It's easy to say your in love with someone you've never met. That's because it's not real. Love comes when two people know each other and live at least close enough to interact with each other on a day to day basis. Love is when you can put up with each others crap and not kill the other one. They not only have never seen each other, but the age difference is odd. This is a relationship destined for nothing.

If he is sure about being in love, I suggest he find a way to come here, and do so quickly...
Haste is important, because, in reality, she is only 10 years shy of the average life expectancy of women in the US.
If they want to have time together, they had best do it soon.
As far as the rest of it goes, it is inappropriate to judge. I am getting old myself, and while 75 is pushing the limits, I'm sure that in 10 years, I will feel differently, so, yes, I see nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Has seen her in person, I don't think he has to worry about this one going astray. She is from India, I just don't think this little affair will ever last, does realize what she really looks like and how many more years she will be living above the ground. She is 40 years older than him , old enough to be his grandmother. I'm not going to pray for them because, I just don't see praying for something that is so wrong. those India women are ugly when they get old they wrinkle faster than any other women. I bet she is just a mass of wrinkles. To be honest with you both of them need their silly buts just busted. I've heard of it all now. WHEW
